A charge you did not expect.
If you do not recognise a charge with Fetch in the name, we can help you work out where it came from. Several unrelated companies use that name, and most enquiries we receive concern one of them.
FetchApp only bills businesses that sell digital downloads through an online store.
Which Fetch company charged you?
Several unrelated companies trade under the name Fetch. There is a package delivery service, a shopping rewards app, and a pet company, among others. None of them is connected to us, and we have no access to their accounts, their billing or their records.
Check what the account is for. FetchApp is a subscription for businesses that sell digital downloads through an online store: e-books, music, patterns, presets, plugins, courses, print files. If nobody in your household or your company sells files online, the charge is almost certainly not ours, and cancelling with us would not stop it.
Check the full business name and any reference on your statement, then search for that exact wording. This can help you find the company to contact about the charge.
What FetchApp is
FetchApp is software for people who sell digital things. When somebody buys one, FetchApp sends the buyer their file and, where the product needs one, a license key. It has been doing that since 2007.
It is billed as a monthly subscription, which is why it recurs. There is no contract, no minimum term, and no fee for signing up or leaving.
If your business sells downloads, or used to, check who set up the store and which account is being billed.
Check with the person who manages your store
When the charge does turn out to be ours and the person paying does not recognise it, the account almost always belongs to a colleague. A marketing manager selling a download, a designer running a side shop, a developer who set something up and moved on.
Ask whoever handles your website, your online store or your downloads. The account is usually in their name, and its email address helps us find it.
If your company sells through Shopify, FetchApp may have been installed from the Shopify App Store. In that case, the charge appears on your Shopify bill and Shopify takes the payment. Check your Shopify billing history as well.
Finding the invoice
Every time we bill an account, we email an invoice to the address given at signup. Searching that inbox for FetchApp is a good place to start.
If you can get into the account, every invoice we have ever sent is listed in the account settings and you can download them from there. FetchApp accounts live on their own address rather than a shared login page, so if you have the link from an old email it will take you straight there. Finding your account →
If the charge came through Shopify instead, the invoice is on your Shopify account alongside everything else Shopify bills you for, and it will not be in our system.
How to cancel
Sign in, open the account settings, edit the account, and cancel. It takes about a minute and it stops any future charge immediately. You stay responsible for charges already taken, and there is nothing further after that.
If you cannot get into the account, email [email protected] with the date, the amount and the full merchant name as they appear on the statement, and we will work out with you who owns the account and what to do next.
Uninstalling the app from Shopify does not cancel the FetchApp account. If somebody also signed up on our own site, that is a second, separate subscription. Check which subscriptions are active so you can cancel each one you no longer need. What cancellation does →
Common questions
How do I know whether this charge is yours or another Fetch?
FetchApp only bills businesses selling digital downloads through an online store. If nobody in your household or company sells files online, the charge is likely from another Fetch company. Search for the full business name as it appears on your statement.
Can you cancel a charge from one of the other Fetch companies?
No. They are separate companies and we have no access to their systems. Cancelling with us would not stop their charge.
Can I get a refund?
Charges are non-refundable. Cancelling stops future charges, and there is no contract, minimum term or termination fee.
Nobody here recognises it and we do sell downloads. Is this fraud?
Check with anyone who manages your website or store. If nobody at your company signed up, email [email protected] with the date and amount of the charge. We will help find the account and close it.
I need an invoice for accounting.
They are all in the account settings, and each one was emailed when it was charged. If you cannot reach the account, write in and we will send them.
Who is charging me, FetchApp or Shopify?
If FetchApp was installed from the Shopify App Store, Shopify bills you as part of your Shopify account. If somebody signed up on our own site, we bill the card on that account. Both are possible at once, and they are separate subscriptions.
I cancelled and was charged again.
That is usually the two-subscription case above: one was cancelled and the other was not. Write in with the date and amount and we will tell you which one is still running.
Still not sure what it is?
Email [email protected] with the date, the amount, and the full merchant name on the statement. If it is ours we will find the account. If it is not, we will tell you that too.
