Setup and support

What each label means

Some connections are maintained by FetchApp, while others use a third-party plugin or are limited to existing accounts.

Supported. FetchApp builds and tests these connections, and our support team can help you with them. Shopify setup and verification date →

Community plugin. A developer outside FetchApp publishes the plugin. We can help trace delivery problems, but we cannot release plugin fixes. For a new WooCommerce build with a developer, we recommend a direct API connection.

Existing accounts only. Connected stores keep receiving deliveries, but new connections are closed. Some of these integrations also no longer offer product import. If the service changes for existing stores, we will give notice and explain the next steps.

Custom stores

A connection your developer can build.

The API lets your store send order details directly to FetchApp. It is an option for custom checkouts, membership sites and stores without a ready-made integration.

Your developer sends an order number, the buyer’s email address and the product codes, called SKUs. FetchApp matches those codes to your products, prepares their files and available license keys, and sends the delivery email.

You can keep using your own order numbers to find orders later. The API also lets your developer read products, files and keys, or create a catalogue from an existing system.

If you are unsure what your store needs, ask us before arranging development. For the connection details, share the API guide with your developer.

For your developer

# when an order is paid
POST https://<handle>.fetchapp.com/api/v3/orders
     Authorization: Basic <key:token>

your order id · buyer email · one line per SKU

# later, by YOUR order id
GET https://<handle>.fetchapp.com/api/v3/vorders/<your-order-id>

Use your own FetchApp account address and credentials from a plan with API access.

Before your first order

Four things to check during setup

These checks help your store send the right files to each customer.

  • Match your product codes Use the same SKU in your store and FetchApp, including capital letters and spacing. FetchApp uses this code to find the files for each order item.
  • Every product has at least one file Attach a file to each digital product, including products sold for a license key. A short text file can be a placeholder; a product with no attached file will not deliver.
  • Check that your store sends the order Some payment methods and order-creation apps do not send a paid-order notification. Check the settings for your integration before testing. Delivering regardless of payment status also allows unpaid orders through, so choose that setting carefully.
  • Your plan includes what you are connecting Check that your plan includes the connection you want. A custom API connection needs API credentials. Compare plans and included features →

Questions about connecting your store

Can I connect a store that isn't listed?

A developer can connect a checkout that sends paid orders through the API. Tell us which store platform you use and we will help you decide whether that approach fits. Custom connections →

How do I connect WooCommerce?

You can use the community plugin or ask a developer to build a direct API connection. The plugin is maintained outside FetchApp; check its release date and test it with your store before relying on it. WooCommerce setup options →

What happens to an integration you stop connecting new stores to?

It keeps delivering for connected stores. If that service needs to change, we will give existing customers notice and a documented way to move to another connection.

Will I keep my checkout and payment provider?

Yes. Your store takes the payment and sends FetchApp the order for delivery. FetchApp charges for your plan without taking a percentage of sales. How FetchApp fits into your shop →

How can I test the setup?

On Shopify, use a 100%-off discount code to test the checkout and delivery together. A manual order in FetchApp tests file delivery on its own, without a payment or processing fee. The quickstart →
