What you get
Deliver your files, manage your catalogue and help customers after a sale.
Automatic delivery after payment
Your store sends a paid order. FetchApp emails the download links and any license keys. On Shopify, it can also mark the digital items fulfilled.
The quickstartAutomatic re-checks for Shopify orders
FetchApp re-checks Shopify notifications that arrived but did not become orders, helping recover missed deliveries.
When an email doesn't arriveLinks that expire the way you decide
Choose a time limit, a download count, or both. With both set, the links stop working when either limit is reached.
Limits, in fullLicense keys delivered with your files
Paste a list of keys into each product. Each unit sold receives an available key with the download. Included on paid plans, with no per-key charge.
How license keys workReuse files across products
Attach several files to one product or use the same file in several products. Build bundles and editions alongside the physical products in your shop.
Attaching files to productsUse your own storage
From the Business tier, you can host your files yourself and give FetchApp their links. Your storage provider bills you separately.
How storage is countedImports the orders you already have
Import a CSV of past orders to restore download access and send customers fresh links. Products with keys draw assignments from their available keys during import.
How the order import worksDownloads on your Shopify domain
Buyers can find download links on their Shopify order-status page and open a download page on your storefront domain.
The Shopify integrationHelp buyers find their links again

License keysHow FetchApp fits into your shop
Keep selling through your own store, with FetchApp handling file delivery.
Keep your storefront and checkout. FetchApp delivers orders from your existing store; it does not provide a storefront or replace your checkout.
Keep payments and tax with your chosen providers. FetchApp does not collect your customers’ payments or file your VAT. If you need a provider to handle tax, consider a merchant of record, a service that takes responsibility for the sale and its taxes.
Bring your own customers. FetchApp is a delivery service, not a marketplace where shoppers discover products. With Shopify, your download page can use your own domain.
Pay a flat monthly fee. Your FetchApp plan is based on storage, with no commission on sales. Compare plans →
Choose how long download links work.
Set your usual limits, then adjust an individual order when a customer needs more time.
Choose a time limit, a download count, or both. You can change an individual order when someone needs extra time to download their purchase.
If a customer loses the delivery email, resend it from the order or help them look up their links. Resending reopens the order and resets its expiry and download counts. A permalink gives ongoing access by ignoring both limits, so use it only for files you want to remain available. Delivery controls →
On Shopify, FetchApp also re-checks received notifications that did not become orders. Help with a missing delivery →
What happens to a paid order
- 1 Paid order Your store sends the order details.
- 2 FetchApp prepares delivery Files linked, available keys assigned and download settings applied.
- 3 Delivered Email, plus the order-status page and a download page on your domain with Shopify.
- A Shopify order is missing? Received notifications that did not become orders are re-checked.
- Link expired too soon? Extend or reopen the order so your customer can download again.
One file, many products. One product, many files.
Build bundles and editions without uploading the same file again.
Attach as many files as a product needs, and reuse a file across products. A bundle might include several sample packs; a deluxe edition might add a bonus track.
Upload files to FetchApp or host them yourself on an eligible plan. Self-hosted files use FetchApp links to count downloads before sending buyers to your file. FetchApp cannot expire the original link on your own storage. Storage options →
Match your product codes exactly. The SKU in your store must match the SKU in FetchApp, including capital letters and spacing. Check both codes and attach a file before placing a test order. Set up products and files →
- Bundles Several files sold together.
- Editions Reuse a file in products with different prices.
- Updates in place Replace a file and send an update to past buyers.
- Mixed carts FetchApp delivers the matching digital products.
- Your own storage S3 or Cloudflare R2, which plans include it →
Help customers after the sale.
Find their order, resend a delivery email or give them more time to download.
Open an order to see what was bought, which files and keys were assigned, and the download history. These details help you find the right next step when a customer asks for help.
Resend an email, extend a link, or reopen an expired order. You can also expire an order to stop access after a refund. Shopify refunds need this manual step; PayPal refunds expire the order automatically. Manage orders →
Moving from another service? Import a CSV of past orders to restore download access and send customers fresh links. Products with keys draw from their available keys during import.
- Resend
- Reopen the order and email its links again
- Extend
- More days, or more downloads
- Expire
- Stop the links now
- Reopen
- Restore access to an expired order
- Revoke
- Stop access after a payment reverses

Manage deliveries from your FetchApp admin.
Add your keys. Send one with each unit sold.
Keep a list of available keys for each product. Buyers receive their key with the file.
Paste your keys into the product. Each unit sold receives an available key in the delivery email and on the download page. Export the assignments whenever you need to see who has which key.
Keep an eye on the unused count. An empty list delivers the file without a key and does not send you an alert. Your plan also has an allowance for how many keys you can hold. Managing keys and allowances →
Keys are included on every paid plan, with no per-key, per-activation or per-seat fee. FetchApp delivers keys; use a separate licensing service if you need activation or seat tracking. Developers can also manage keys through the API.
- In the delivery email Beside the file it unlocks.
- On the download page So a buyer who lost the email still has it.
- Over the API Your developer can read keys and assignments.
- As a CSV export Who has which key, downloadable.
- Check how many are left View the unused count or include it in your templates.
