Privacy policy

What we collect, and what we do with it.

FetchApp delivers files and license keys for your shop. This policy explains how we handle your account details and your buyers’ data, and how to make a privacy request.

Effective 25 August 2026. FetchApp LLC, PO Box 622, Johnson City, TN 37605, United States.

Your account

What we collect from you

When you register we ask for your name, your company name, an email address, a billing address and payment details. Accounts on the free plan are not asked for a card.

We use that information to run the service you signed up for: providing the product, billing you, confirming your identity when you sign in, answering your support email, and improving how FetchApp works. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with other organisations for their own commercial purposes.

Our payment processor handles your card number. FetchApp does not store it. What we hold is the processor’s reference to the card plus the last digits, so that a renewal can be taken and so support can tell one card from another.

Our support system keeps your emails, the address you sent them from and the account they concern. This lets the person helping you see your previous conversation.

Your buyers

Data we process on your behalf

When someone buys from your shop, your cart sends us the order so that we can deliver it. That order carries the buyer’s email address, their name, the items they bought and your own order reference. We use it to send the delivery email, to serve the download, to assign a license key where the product has one, and to show you the order in your admin.

For that data you are the controller and we are the processor. It is your customer relationship. We hold their details to deliver on your instructions. We do not market to your buyers or use one shop’s buyer list for anything to do with another shop. If you need this in contract form, we have a data processing agreement and support will send it to you.

Buyers sometimes write to us directly, usually when a download did not arrive. We can rarely help them without your involvement, because their order lives inside your account and we need your FetchApp account handle to find it. Contacting your shop is usually the fastest way for a buyer to get help. What to check when a delivery email does not arrive →

Cookies

Cookies and local storage

This website sets no session cookie, uses no advertising tag and does not track you across other sites. We count page views using a tool we run ourselves, which stores nothing on your device and records nothing that identifies you. Choosing a light or dark theme writes one word to your browser’s local storage, which is never sent to us.

Signing in to your FetchApp account is different: the application sets a session cookie so that you stay signed in while you work. It is required for the application to function and it is not used for advertising.

The full detail, including how to check it yourself, is on the cookie policy. Cookie policy →

Sub-processors

Who else processes your data

FetchApp uses outside providers to host the application, store files, take payments and deliver email. These are sub-processors. Our sub-processor list describes their work and the data they can access, and is updated when it changes.

We ask each of them for terms that are at least as protective as the ones we give you, and we give each one the narrowest access that lets it do its job. FetchApp is a United States company and our production database runs in a United States region, so if you are in the EEA or the UK, your data is transferred to the United States. The full sub-processor list →

Beyond that list, we disclose personal information only in narrow circumstances: to comply with a subpoena or another legal obligation, to investigate or prevent fraud or illegal activity, where there is a threat to someone’s physical safety, or where you have asked us to. If FetchApp is ever acquired or merged, we will tell you before your information moves under a different policy.

Keeping and deleting

How long we keep things

While your account is open we keep your account details, your products and files, and your order history so we can provide the service.

When you cancel, your account is closed and taken off the paid plan, your store credentials are cleared, your integrations are disconnected, and your handle is released so the address can be used again. The account record itself is marked as closed rather than erased immediately, and a record of the cancellation is kept: the account name, its email address, its handle and which plan it was on. That record is what lets us answer a billing question after the fact, and it is what lets support put an account back if you cancelled by mistake. What cancellation does, step by step →

If you want everything erased rather than closed, email [email protected] from an address on the account and say that you want erasure rather than cancellation. We will tell you what we can remove and what we cannot, and confirm what we have done. Some records survive an erasure request where the law requires it, invoices and tax records being the usual case, and stored files and system backups are on their own schedules rather than deleted the same day. Ask and we will tell you where yours stand.

Your rights

Asking for a copy, a correction or a deletion

Depending on where you live you may have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to object to some processing, or to receive it in a portable form. We extend the same handling to everyone, wherever you are.

The route is one email to [email protected] from an address on the account, saying which of those you want. We may need to check you are who you say you are before we act, particularly for a deletion.

If the request concerns a buyer’s data, contact us through the shop where the order was placed. The shop holds the customer relationship and we act on its instructions.

A self-service request form is being built. Until it is available, send requests to the email address above and a member of the team will read them.

Changes and contact

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when what we do changes. If a change is significant we will tell the account’s primary email address, or put a notice on the site, before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when it was last reviewed.

Questions, complaints and requests all go to [email protected]. Post reaches us at FetchApp LLC, PO Box 622, Johnson City, TN 37605, United States.

Questions about your data?

Email [email protected] and it reaches the people who build FetchApp. For a data processing agreement, say so and we will send it.
