PayPal takes the money. FetchApp sends the file.
Sell a pattern, an e-book or a sample pack with a PayPal button. When PayPal sends the paid order, FetchApp emails your buyer the download links and any license keys.
No plugin, no hosting, no code. A business email address and a button.
Keep PayPal for payment. Add file delivery.
PayPal takes your customer’s payment. FetchApp handles the digital delivery afterwards, so you can sell without emailing each file yourself.
Upload your files, add them to a product and choose how long download links should work. You can also include license keys and check the download history when a buyer needs help. Anyone with a delivery link can use it while it remains available, so choose limits that suit what you sell. How delivery works →
Your payments continue through your PayPal account, with PayPal’s own processing fees.
Connect PayPal, add a product, copy the button
Have your PayPal business email and your first file ready.
Add your PayPal business email
In FetchApp, open Integrations, choose PayPal and enter your PayPal business email. You can also add a return address for the page buyers should see after payment.
Add your product and its file
Give the product a code, called a SKU, and a price, then attach its file. If you sell license keys, paste those into the product too.
Take the button and paste it in
FetchApp generates a PayPal button connected to your account. Copy it into your site, blog, newsletter or landing page. PayPal sends the paid order to FetchApp for delivery.
Your button connects payment to delivery
The generated button includes the address PayPal uses to notify FetchApp of a payment. You do not need to enter that address yourself for each product.
If an order does not deliver, check whether it appears in FetchApp. Then check that the SKU in the button matches the product code in your FetchApp catalogue. Check product codes →
Once it is connected
Send files automatically and manage access from your FetchApp account.
- Automatic delivery. When PayPal sends a completed payment, FetchApp emails the download links and any assigned license keys.
- Links you control. Choose a time limit, a download count or both. Links stop working when a limit is reached. Delivery controls →
- License keys. Send an available key with each unit sold. Key delivery is included on paid plans with no per-key charge. License keys →
- A refund closes the order. When PayPal notifies FetchApp of a refund, the order expires automatically. If you refund outside PayPal, expire the order yourself. Refund handling →
- A record of every download. Check which files were downloaded, when and from where, so you can help customers with delivery questions. Order records →
When you want a fuller store
Buttons can work well for a small catalogue. If your shop grows, you have other ways to connect while keeping your products, files, keys and order history in FetchApp.
Use a store that accepts PayPal. With Shopify or WooCommerce, FetchApp connects to the store rather than directly to PayPal. Follow that store’s setup and refund instructions, as these differ by integration. Choose an integration →
Connect a custom checkout. A developer can send orders directly through the API for a custom store or membership site. Custom connections →
Common questions
Do I need a PayPal business account?
Yes. Use the email address of your PayPal business account to connect it. Payments go to that account; FetchApp handles file delivery.
Does FetchApp take a cut of the sale?
No. FetchApp charges a flat monthly fee, with no revenue share or per-order charge. PayPal charges its own processing fees. Compare plans →
My buyer paid and nothing was delivered. Where do I look?
First look for the order in FetchApp. If it is missing, check the payment notification. If it is there, check that the SKU in the button matches your FetchApp product and that a file is attached. Help with a missing delivery →
Can I sell more than one product at a time?
Yes. A cart with several products can deliver them in one email. If the products use license keys, each unit bought receives an available key.
What happens if I refund somebody?
The order is expired automatically, so their download link stops working. If you refund outside PayPal for some reason, expire the order yourself on the order page.
Can I move to Shopify later without losing anything?
Yes. Connect Shopify to the same FetchApp account to keep your products, files, keys and order history. Existing PayPal orders retain download access under their delivery settings.
