Limits

Choose storage, download and expiry settings for your shop. Learn about license-key quantities, daily email allowances and larger deliveries.

Use these settings and allowances to plan your deliveries, whether you are adding your first product, preparing a launch or importing past orders. If you are unsure what your account needs, support can help you check it before you begin.

Storage

Your monthly plan is based on the storage allowance you choose. Compare the plans and allowances on pricing.

From the Business tier upward, you can also connect your own Amazon S3 or Cloudflare R2 storage. These are services that host your files outside FetchApp. FetchApp still manages your orders, license keys and download links; your storage provider bills you separately.

Orders

There is no per-order charge or revenue share. Delivery emails have a daily allowance for each account, so check the email guidance below before sending a large batch of orders.

License keys

Up to 100 keys per Shopify line item. A single line with a quantity of 250 delivers 100 keys, without an error or warning. Split larger quantities into separate line items, each within the limit, or speak to support before selling them.

Keep keys available for new orders. If a product has no unused keys left, its file is still delivered without a key. There is no alert or order-history warning. Check the unused count regularly, or set your store’s stock quantity to match the keys you have available. See license keys for setup steps.

There is no per-key fee, but your plan has a key allowance. When you reach it, the Add Keys button is replaced with a message asking you to upgrade or delete keys. If you need a larger allowance, contact support to discuss an account adjustment.

Downloads and expiry

Choose how long links stay active, how many downloads to allow, or both. For example, you can allow access for three days or five downloads, whichever comes first.

Download counts apply to each file separately. A product with five files and a limit of three allows three downloads of each file, for a total of fifteen downloads.

Permalinks provide ongoing access. These links do not expire and do not use the usual download limits. Choose them when you want a customer to have continuing access; waiting for your normal expiry period will not end that access.

Using Resend Order reopens the order, resets its expiry and restores download counts before sending the email. Check the access settings when you resend.

Delivery email

Delivery emails have a daily allowance for each account. New accounts have lower limits, so keep test batches small and contact support if you need to send more.

If the allowance is reached, further emails are not sent, there is no notification, and they are not retried automatically. Before a large launch or an import that emails past customers, contact support so we can check your account.

For an individual missing message, start with the download email didn’t arrive.

Bandwidth

FetchApp does not charge by the amount of data downloaded. If you expect customers to download more than about a terabyte a month, contact support to plan for that volume. We may recommend using your own storage.

API

See pricing for plans with API access. Developers use your account’s own address, https://<handle>.fetchapp.com, and API credentials. Large requests may need to be split into smaller batches. The API guide explains how to get started.

Support and availability

Support is available by email, Monday to Friday. Standard plans do not include a service-level agreement or a guaranteed response time. Availability information is published on reliability.

Next: review your download settings, then send yourself a test order to check the customer experience.
