A SendOwl alternative for your existing store.
Bring your products, license keys and past orders to FetchApp, and send your customers new download links. We can help you plan the move, check what carries over and test delivery before you switch.
Still weighing the two products? FetchApp vs SendOwl, head to head →
Will my existing customers still get their files?
Import your past orders to restore download access. Your customers receive new links; links from your previous provider do not move with you.
Export your past orders from your current provider and import them here as a CSV. FetchApp rebuilds download access for each of those buyers, license keys included, attached to the same products, and can email every one of them a fresh link from your store. How the order import works →
Buyers can also find their order again using the email address they bought with. On Shopify, they can do this from your store’s own address without contacting support. When a delivery email goes missing →
For customers who need ongoing access, you can use a permalink: a download link that does not expire and ignores download limits. Choose this only when you want both limits removed. Download limits →
- Products and files. CSV import, or upload them straight in.
- License keys. Paste a list of keys into each product.
- Past orders and download access. Order CSV import rebuilds it, keys included.
- Your old download URLs. These do not move. They belong to your old provider.
- Recurring subscriptions. These do not move either. We have no recurring billing.
How long does it take, and who does it?
Most catalogues move in an afternoon. Allow more time if product codes differ, files are only stored with your current provider, or you need to move subscription billing.
You can prepare while your current provider keeps running. Open a free account, add a few products and plan a test order through your store. Check the delivery email and download before switching your live sales to FetchApp. The quickstart →
When you are ready, the sequence is: catalogue in, keys in, past orders in, test order, switch the store over, then email your existing buyers their new links. We help with the import. Tell us what you have on SendOwl today and we will explain what can move and what needs a separate setup before you start.
The order it happens in
- 1 Open an account Free, no card. Your current provider keeps running untouched.
- 2 Load a few products Files attached, product codes (SKUs) matched to your store.
- 3 Send yourself a test order An order through your own checkout.
- 4 Import the keys and the past orders Paste keys into each product, then import past orders from a CSV.
- 5 Point the store at us Then email your existing buyers their new links.
- Something didn't deliver? Check that the product codes match. If they do and delivery still fails, send us the order details.
Who can help me?
You can email the people who build FetchApp for help with setup, the move or a delivery problem.
Email support is available Monday to Friday and is answered by the people who build FetchApp. How support works →
Availability is checked from outside our network by UptimeRobot, on the application and on the host your buyers download from. Over the last 365 days that came to 99.995%, reported 26 August 2026. There is no service level agreement (SLA) on standard plans. How we measure it →
In the last thirty days FetchApp delivered 370,528 orders (measured 2026-08-25). Our Shopify App Store listing sits at 4.7 stars from 11 reviews, the most recent dated 2026-05-25. We have been delivering since 2007.

Will it work for what I sell?
Check the features your shop depends on before you move. If you have a different setup, ask us and we will help you work through it.
- License keys with each sale. Add keys to each product. One key goes out per unit sold, in the email and on the download page, and is available through the API. Keys are included on every paid plan with no per-key fee, up to 100 keys per Shopify line item. License-key reference →
- Codes printed inside a physical book. That is a license key with a file behind it. Upload the codes, attach the file, and one code goes out per sale.
- Mixed digital and physical carts. Your store ships the physical products. FetchApp delivers the digital items and marks them fulfilled. Shopify guide →
- Downloads on your own domain. On Shopify the order lookup, the download page and the files themselves can be served from your storefront domain. How the Shopify install works →
- Download limits you choose. Set links to expire by days, download count or both. For example, you can choose three days or five downloads, whichever comes first. Limits, in full →
- A custom store connection. A developer can connect a cart through the API so it sends FetchApp each paid order for delivery. See every integration
- A large file library. From the Business tier, you can use your own S3 or Cloudflare R2 storage instead of buying more FetchApp storage. Storage options →
What will it cost?
Choose a monthly plan based on how much you store with FetchApp.
Every tier we sell is on the pricing page, cheapest first, with the storage each one gives you. SendOwl’s published entry plan was $39/month when we checked it on 2026-10-08.
Your FetchApp plan depends on stored files. Selling more does not raise the bill, and there is no percentage of your sales to pay. From the Business tier, you can use your own S3 or Cloudflare R2 storage instead of paying for a larger FetchApp plan.
We do not offer price locks or price matching. You can compare all current plans, their storage allowances and the date they were checked on the pricing page.
| Published entry | We checked | |
|---|---|---|
| FetchApp | $5/mo | 2026-08-25 |
| SendOwl | $39/mo | 2026-10-08 |
Where these figures come from
Long-standing SendOwl customers have publicly reported increases from $29 to $599 a month, from $15 to $159, and from $24 to $299, several describing around thirty days’ notice, posted on public review listings.
They are third-party customer reports, not SendOwl’s price list. We collected them during market research on 2026-07-02 and have not re-verified them since. Read the original reviews before making a decision. SendOwl’s published entry plan was $39/month, checked 2026-10-08.
Questions about the move
Do you have specific support for the changeover, or challenges I should know about?
Yes. Tell us what you sell and we will help you plan and run the import. We will explain what can move and what cannot before you commit. Common challenges are product codes (SKUs) that do not match, files whose only copy is inside your old provider, and recurring subscriptions, which we cannot take at all. What moves, in detail →
Can you match up my previous orders so past customers can access what they already bought?
Yes. That is the order CSV import: it rebuilds download access for your past buyers, license keys included, and can email each of them a fresh link from your store. The links are new, your old provider’s URLs stop resolving once you leave. How the order import works →
Can we schedule a call before we commit?
Email support, Monday to Friday, to ask about a call. Let us know you are planning a move and you will reach the person who can help with it. We do not publish a response-time target yet. Email us →
We pull our orders by date range from our current provider. Can you do that?
You can export orders, products and license-key assignments as CSV files. Plans that include API access also support custom exports. Send us an example of what you need and we will help you check the options. The docs →
Will I be billed twice if I install from the Shopify App Store?
Only if you do both. Install from Shopify and Shopify bills you; sign up on our site and we bill you directly. Pick one path and stay on it, and if you are not sure which one you are on, ask us and we will look. Every tier →
I already have a FetchApp account from years ago. How do I get back in?
Each FetchApp account has its own address. Use the sign-in page to find yours, or follow the step-by-step guide if you have forgotten it. Sign in → · If that doesn’t work →
