A Gumroad alternative that does not take a cut.
Gumroad’s published rate is 10% plus $0.50 on each sale, checked 2026-10-08. FetchApp charges a monthly fee based on stored files. You use your own store and payment provider, and selling more does not raise your FetchApp bill.

Compare the cost for your shop.
Your sales and file storage help you work out which pricing model suits you.
With a percentage fee, the amount you pay rises and falls with your sales. If you make no sales, there is no sales fee to pay.
With FetchApp, you choose a monthly plan based on how much you store. The plan costs the same in a busy month or a quiet one. Paid plans start at $5 a month.
Use your own sales and storage figures in the pricing calculator to compare the two. Your results depend on your shop’s numbers.

What you give up, and what you keep
Gumroad provides a marketplace and handles sales as the merchant of record. With FetchApp, you arrange your own store, payments, taxes and audience.
- You give up: someone else handling your sales tax. Gumroad is the legal seller for the transaction and handles VAT and sales tax. With FetchApp, you are responsible for those taxes, usually through your store or a tax service. Check your arrangements before moving.
- You give up: the marketplace audience. Customers can discover products on Gumroad’s marketplace. FetchApp delivers from your own store and has no marketplace, so you need to bring people to your shop.
- You keep: your checkout, your prices, your processor. Sell through Shopify, WooCommerce, PayPal or your own cart. Your payment provider takes the payment. See every integration →
- You keep: the customer relationship. Their email address is yours, on your list, and the delivery email comes from your shop.
- You get: license keys, included. Add keys to each product. One key goes out per unit sold, in the delivery email and on the download page. No per-key or per-seat fee. How license keys work →
- You get: your own storage, if your files are big. From the Business tier, you can use your own S3 or Cloudflare R2 storage instead of paying for more FetchApp storage. Storage options →
Your back catalogue comes with you.
Restore downloads for customers who bought before the move.
Export your past orders and import them here, and the people who bought from you before the move keep working download links. Products and files come across the same way, and license keys can be pasted into each product, including lists copied from a spreadsheet.
What does not move is the Gumroad URL itself. Those links belong to them. We create new ones from your store, and they can be emailed out to the customers who need them.
Most catalogues come across in an afternoon, and we can help you run the import.
Questions about switching from Gumroad
Do you take a percentage of anything?
No. There is no revenue share, no per-order fee and no transaction fee anywhere in the product. The bill is the monthly plan and nothing else. Every tier, published →
Who handles my VAT and sales tax if I move?
You do, usually through your store or a tax service. If you want a service that handles those taxes for you as merchant of record, Gumroad may still suit you better.
Can I use both?
Yes, and some shops do. Sell on Gumroad for discovery and run your own store with FetchApp behind it, on the same catalogue. Nothing about FetchApp is exclusive.
What happens to the customers who already bought from me?
Import your past orders and their download access is rebuilt, license keys included. Import past orders →
Do I need a developer?
Not for Shopify, PayPal or WooCommerce. Those are plug-and-play. You need one only if your cart has no integration and you want to use the API. The API →
What does it cost to try?
Nothing. There is a free tier to test with, and the cheapest paid plan is $5 a month. Every tier, published →
